We are hiring graduate students, postdoc candidates, and undergrads
We are building a team of motivated engineers and scientists who are interested in pursuing fundamentally innovative ideas in biology in a multidisciplinary and collaborative research environment. Talented and self-driven individuals at all stages of their academic careers are welcome to get in touch. Lab members will be expected to develop strong understanding of biochemistry/biophysics, ML/ non-ML-based optimization, and good computing skills. Projects are likely to have student development opportunities with collaborating groups in other universities, national labs, and industry, and conference participation.
Graduate students: If you are already in a graduate program (PhD/ MS) at Iowa State, feel free to email Prof. Chowdhury directly. If you are planning to apply for a PhD program at Iowa State we recommend the Chemical & Biological Engineering/ Microbiology/ Computer Science PhD tracks.
Postdoctoral fellows: Candidates with experience in either structural protein biology and biochemistry, or molecular simulations are encouraged to apply. Please email your CV, research interests, references, and career plans after the postdoc.
Undergraduate students: Motivated individuals familiar with programming with ML frameworks and interest in biological data are highly encouraged to apply. Please email us with your short CV, research interests, coding experience.
